Who we are

A friendly community pantry for Sandwich and beyond

Founded in 2021, Sandwich Pantry is a community-led initiative supporting households in Sandwich and surrounding village with affordable weekly groceries. For £5 a week, members can collect a generous selection of fresh produce, cupboard essentials and household basics - helping stretch budgets and reduce stress around the weekly shop.

We’re here for people experiencing financial pressure, whether it’s for a short time or something longer term. Our goal is simple: to make good food accessible, affordable and dignified for everyone in our community.

Created to help when life gets harder

With the rising cost of living, many families are finding it harder to keep up with the cost of groceries. We believe no one should have to choose between essentials - and that asking for support should always feel dignified, respectful and judgement-free. Sandwich Pantry has been running for over 4 years, and we are proud to serve our local area with warmth, kindness and practical support.
